If this homeware collection initially seems like your everyday, run of the mill assortment of objects, we’re here to show you otherwise. Perhaps it is the clean and polished design behind the recent Benneton Home Collection that endears the eye so easily, but one thing we’re sure of is that it’s not to be mistaken for something that you can simply pass by.

Incorporating all things playful and wonderful, the new home collection for Benneton is the product of Fabrica Design Studio, with Portuguese graphic designer Catarina Carreiras at the helm. The collection showcases known objects such as coffee mugs, iPhone cases, notepads and diaries; uniquely transforming them with imaginative prints and enticing colours.

As Carreiras self-proclaims to “enjoy losing herself in the world looking out for shapes, colours, places, ideas...” it comes as no surprise the collection showcases just that. The impact and strength of the designs lie in their simplicity, and through the process of creating the collection, she is able to breathe new life into the previously taken-for-granted objects of everyday.

Not forgetting what lies at the core of Benneton, the home collection emphasises and is inspired by the values, aesthetic and intrinsic spirit and heritage behind the international brand. For Carreiras, the exercise of producing the collection became something of an homage to Benneton. An elegant tribute, this home collection makes us wish we were sipping our morning caffeine from one of their delicately patterned coffee mugs.
